September 2016 commemorated the 110th anniversary of the official opening of Manchester’s water palace - Victoria Baths - a magnificent Grade ll listed building used for bathing and swimming from 1906 to 1993. As part of the celebrations, we screened the 70’s thriller Jaws inside the stunning (but now empty) Gala Pool. Audiences were seated on vintage deckchairs and inflatable dinghies inside the pool and on the mezzanine level to watch Jaws on a huge 16ft screen.
We were joined by DJ Jimmy May, Funky Faces face painting, I Knead Pizza and Dim Sum Su. Audiences enjoyed drinks, music, food and dancing before being seated for the film inside a truly unique and historical events space.
